On May 16th 2020, UK Plant-based Professionals and University of Winchester held a very important and interesting online conference aimed at health professionals, bringing together medical science and clinical practice of plant-based nutrition.
Despina Marselou, as a Clinical Dietitian (BSc, MSc) and a scientist associate of UK Plant-based Professionals, specialized clinical nutrition, autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammation, educated in plant-based nutrition and gut microbiome, took part in this conference as a speaker, focusing on “Dietary Treatment Protocols of autoimmune diseases” with emphasis on plant-based nutrition and its therapeutic properties, always evidence-based.
It was a great honor to be among truly important speakers like Dr Caldwell Esselstyn and his wife Ann from the The Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute, who have followed a plant-based diet since 1984 and they are known to help thousands of patients improve their health as far as heart diseases are concerned and even reverse their disease through a plant-based diet with low fat.
Feedback on Clinical Dietitian’s speech was truly overwhelming, while the whole experience was inspiring, proving how dietary changes can tame autoimmune diseases’ symptoms and lead to a better life and health.
