The new season is here with really good news I’d like to share with you!

Those of you who follow me know my collaboration with UK Plant-based health professionals, which now counts quite a few years. So, I am happy to announce that I am participating in the publication of their new book “Plant-Based Nutrition in Clinical Practice” with a chapter I wrote on autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation and plant-based nutrition, which is my field of expertise.

It’s a very important book for all health professionals out there, who want to have in-depth knowledge about plant-based nutrition, extremely useful since:

-It covers evidence-based data on the beneficial effect of a plant-based diet on the chronic diseases of our time (cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, diabetes, kidneys disease, liver diseases, gut diseases), its benefits on all stages of life, obstacles and strategies for behavior change and the development of Lifestyle Medicine techniques.

-It explains how our food system actually plays a big part in current planetary health crises, with root causes common to our health crisis, and how a shift to a plant-based nutrition can help.

The book draws information from the University of Winchester’s Plant-based nutrition course, the first course on plant-based nutrition in the UK and has been edited by 2 doctors in the UK and Canada and a registered dietician (Shireen Kassam, Zahra Kassam, Lisa Simon), while in each chapter, each health professional-author (many of them well-respected worldwide) refers to his own field. With a holistic approach, the book presents the uses, benefits and practical application of a plant-based diet in patient care, management and disease prevention.
