On Friday, January 31, 2025, I had the pleasure of speaking at an IASO Group event where we focused on “Plant-Based Diets and Women’s Health.” Alongside Vasiliki Skalafouri, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Head of the Vegan Maternity Care Department at IASO, we shared insights on how a plant-based diet can benefit women’s health, which we gladly shared with people eager to learn more.
During our talks, which were rooted in scientific evidence, we explored the numerous health and environmental benefits of plant-based eating. We highlighted how such a diet can boost energy, support hormonal balance, and improve overall well-being and we also took the time to address and debunk some common myths about plant-based diets, offering practical solutions to overcome challenges that may arise. The session also included an open Q&A, where we were able to answer questions from the audience and engage in meaningful discussions.
For me, a plant-based diet is more than just a way of eating—it’s a conscious decision that can have a profound impact on women’s health at every stage of life. It can improve overall well-being, reduce our environmental footprint, and help address pressing global issues like climate change and the depletion of natural resources.
I want to thank everyone who joined us for this free event! Your passion for improving your health and making a positive difference for our planet was truly inspiring. I’m already looking forward to our next gathering, where we’ll continue to share knowledge and practical solutions for creating a healthier, more sustainable world.
